DONNA MEETS RIHANNA IN BARBADOS

My family and I had decided to go to Barbados in November/December, then a DWT date was announced for November. I phoned Nathalie and we discussed going. I bought 3 platinum tickets, the day they went on sale. We were so excited!! A week before the concert date, it was announced it had been postponed. We were disappointed but determined to enjoy our holiday. Nathalie arrived the day before my family and I, so I asked her to get me a ticket for Sugar. On arrival I found out she had met Rih that day. I was so excited and happy for her. The next day we went to see Monica (Rihanna’s mother), to pick our tickets up and to our surprise she had got us VIP wristbands!! Monica and I hit it off straight away. We were laughing and talking about everything. She has a great sense of humour and we got on so well. Later that night Nathalie and I arrived at Sugar, we were told to go to the VIP enterance. Rihanna didn’t arrive for a few hours. Nat and I were outside, getting some fresh air when a large mini bus pulled up, right in front of us. I could see Mel (Rihanna’s best friend) and Rih inside. Mel got out first and came over to me and said hi. Then out stepped Rih, looking so beautiful. She hugged French navy. Then she spotted me. Her face was priceless, she looked so happy and surprised to see me. She said “Oh shit” and came over to me. She hugged me so tightly and said “My girl”.

“There was a beautiful cake and free champagne. There were journalists who wanted an interview and took lots of pics of us. We asked the staff of the store if they knew Rihanna would come but they didn’t know either. After a few hours we decided to visit Rih’s cousins at Monica’s (Rihanna’s mother) store. After a 30 min we went back to the launch and saw Melissa (Rihanna’s best friend) shopping. She took some time for us for a chat and some pics but still no sign of our fav. So we gave up and went back to Monica’s store to chat with her cousins. At one point I went outside for some fresh air and 5 minutes later I saw a lot of people coming to the store, I was thinking to myself “what the hell is going on there” and 1 minute later I spotted Rich (Rih’s bodyguard) and Rihanna with her family/crew walking to the store and I told the French Navy.We all were inside of the store when Rihanna decided to come inside. Her security closed the doors and before we realized we were all alone with her and her family/crew in the store. Rihanna was all smiley when she saw us and we started to talk to her. She hugged us several times and we took lots of pics. Even all her crew was so nice to us. At one point Evan (Rihanna’s videographer) asked Rihanna if she wanted to record something and she said “yes” .She grabbed me and and Nikita and said some lovely words about us, hope one day we will have the opportunity to see that video message. After half an hour it was time to say goodbye and she left. We decided to go back to the villa as well and on our way the French Navy showed me Rih’s villa and we were just at her gate when she arrived also. She spotted us and waved at us and said “Hey guys”!! I thought to myself God is good, meeting her twice in one day. Meanwhile Donna and her family arrived that day. But we saw each other the next day and told her I asked an wristband for both of us for Sugar (club that Rih was hosting). So we went back to Monica’s store to pick up our wristband and to our surprise she gave us VIP wristband!!! We started talking and she’s such a sweetheart, she even told us some stories about Rihanna. I do now know where Rih’s personality and humor comes from. Monica is so funny!!! So that evening we went to Sugar, we actually expected Rihanna would come early. :) But she kept us waiting for a long time. Around 3:00am we decided to go outside to catch some fresh air and not even 15 minutes later a car stopped in front of the VIP entrance and we immediately saw Mel and Rih in the car. Melissa got out first and went to Donna and a few seconds later Rihanna came out of the car and started to hug the French Navy and then Rihanna spotted Donna and me and she hugged us also and she started to ask about our vaca in Barbados. Donna told her Dannielle couldn’t be there because she wasn’t allowed in the club because she was to young. So Rih asked her how long we’re staying, she wanted to see Donna’s daughter before she leaves and told us she would arrange a meeting with her. And then she went inside in the club and we followed her. She stayed a lil bit longer than one hour in the club and we could take pics as many as we wanted. The French Navy at one point were invited by her to join her in the VIP box but they weren’t allowed to take pics. We saw her leaving the club outside briefly. The next day we went back to Monica’s store to thank her for the wristbands and showed her our pics and videos. And she saw on the video Donna telling about Dannielle not being able to meet her, so Monica asked us our phone numbers and she gave hers. On Wednesday we found out Rihanna was on the beach but we didn’t want to bother her because her friends and family were there. At around 5:00pm Donna received a phone call from Monica telling us to go to the airport because Rihanna was leaving and she wanted to see Dannielle so we rushed to the airport. We waited for about one hour and we saw first her crew arriving and then her family. A few minutes later a red jeep drove to the entrance and Rihanna was driving. She came to us and hugged us!!! We weren’t allowed to take pics or videos from the airport security. We talked for about 15 minutes!!! And we asked her for a pic and she said “of course”. But then she had to leave and gave us a hug and told us to enjoy the rest of our vaca. A few minutes later her family came back outside and we talked. We also took a pic with her lil brother Rajad :). So that was my story!!! I can’t thank Rihanna and her family/friends/crew enough for what they all did for us. So blessed we had the chance to meet them all. And also a big thank you to The French Navy and Donna and her family to make this vaca the best memory ever!!! Even tho the concert was postponed, we had an amazing time and Rihanna apologized on the phone with the French Navy.”
